CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
We are building a community of people whose relationship with Jesus is focused on connecting with others emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
We do this by:
Building one another up in Jesus
Communicating the gospel in the community
Growing as Disciples of Christ
Respecting and submitting to leaders
Practicing unity in the church
THE PROCESS OF MEMBERSHIP
There is more to membership than your individual choice. Membership means interacting with others in doing God’s will and glorifying God together. It is this interaction and cooperation which has a greater effect than all of our own individual efforts. It means becoming an active part of the body of Christ at Woodcroft by willingly interacting with others so we will glorify God in our community the most effective way we can.
“How we do Church” explains all the values, goals and processes we operate under. We would ask you to read through it as it contains relevant information that you need to know about us.
If you continue to be come along to church someone will be available to answer any questions you may have and explain “How we do Church”.
If you continue to come along then we invite you to get involved in worship and service if you are not already doing so.
When you are settled and fully informed about how we operate and the elders see your commitment to the body at Woodcroft then we will make a public recognition of your membership.
DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS PROCESS?
Some people may just want to come and not get too involved. Others may come on a more casual basis. Others just like ’popping in’.
Whatever level you feel you want to interact with us is your choice and will be accepted and respected.
If you chose to be involved with us on causal basis, or just pop in from time to time, we would not neglect to care for and offer support to you to the best of our ability.
As leaders the greater amount of our time will go towards our commitment to equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. Ephesians 4:12
